Do you love a fresh vinaigrette dressing? This is a fruity take on a classic vinaigrette that uses frozen strawberries and pure maple syrup for sweetness.
The main reasons that I decided to make my own vinaigrette salad dressings were due to nutrition and cost. As we all know, the price of food has gone up by quite a bit over the past year or so.
When I looked at the ingredients of my favorite brand of vinaigrette salad dressing, I realized that I was paying more for a salad dressing that had a lot of sugar, calories, and ingredients that I wasn’t really sure that I should be eating.
What do you need to make a homemade vinaigrette dressing?
The main ingredients for a vinaigrette dressing are vinegar and oil. Anything else that you would like to add, which might include salt, pepper, herbs, fruits, nuts and other flavorings, are completely optional.
For the Strawberry Maple Vinaigrette that I made for this recipe, I used eight total ingredients. Oil, vinegar, frozen strawberries, dijon mustard, maple syrup, salt, pepper, and garlic powder are the only ingredients that you need to make this salad dressing.
You will also need a blender, which is a really important staple for any well-stocked kitchen. Any kind of blender will work.
